DRUM is a quality hand rolling or loose tobacco brand that has its origins in Netherlands in the year 1952. It is owned by Imperial Brands, the fourth largest tobacco supplier in the world. This big tobacco multinational company also owns the brand Golden Virginia. Drum has been available in India since a while, although it may appear that its preference among adult smokers has marginally increased since the past 5 years as they switch over from a competitor rolling tobacco brand.
THE BELOW ARE SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is Drum tobacco originally from and who owns it?
DRUM is a Dutch brand which was founded by Douwe Egberts, based out of Joure, which is in the northern side of Netherlands. The founder of Douwe Egberts was Mr. Egbert Douwes, who in the year 1753 started De Witte Os, a grocery store. The company later started dealing specifically in coffee, tea, and tobacco. The company was purchased by the Sara Lee Corporation in the year 1978, which then sold Drum to Imperial Brands in the year 1998, along with other tobacco brands, namely Van Nelle, Amphora and Winner.
Where all is Drum tobacco available in India?
Drum hand rolling tobacco is available in many of points of sale in this massive country. It is available in tobacco shops or shops that deal in tobacco products from top metros like Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, to mini metros like Dehradun, Jaipur, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pune, to even smaller towns across the country. It is available online on platforms like Blinkit and Zepto, and PEER Next, which only deals in 100% genuine and non-counterfeit products, which are not stale or expired.
What kind of smoking filters go well with this rolling tobacco brand?
Drum Bright Blue is marginally more popular than Drum The Original. Both of these are available in India in a 50-gram pouch. While one can use them with a typical acetate smoking filter, or even a cardboard roach, however adult users have started using activated charcoal smoking filters for their hand rolled cigarette, such as PEER Next. These filters have active carbon made of coconut shell inside, then reduce the level of tar as per select studies. This does not make the smoke safe, only relatively less harmful when compared to not using a filter or using a roach instead as per select studies.
